Fida Haq is to exhibit at the prestigious Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts at the Bengal Foundation, Dhaka, Bangladesh between 24th March and 6th April 2006.
The exhibition – titled ‘Of Angels and Chariots’ - his first ever in Bangladesh, will have works executed with recycled material that draw its inspiration from the tradition of decorative Rickshaw Art of Bangladesh and Islamic tessellative patterns.
These works will be complemented by a display of photomedia works that explore the theme of 'animals behaving like human beings' – a surrealistic theme that is frequently found as a sub-genre of narrative Rickshaw Art.
