Zafrul Ahmed Siam developed a strong interest in cricket from the age of seven. Noticing this his mother took him to Strathfield cricket club in 1999.
He is a medium fast bowler,fielding position - first slip and point. For his good bowling and fielding performances Siam was selected to play for “Canterbury and Bankstown representative team” in the year 2000. Now 14 years old Siam is playing for Blacktown City Cricket Club. He also played for the Blacktown representative team. Siam received many awards for bowling and fielding. Last year he received a prestigious award - “Most Promising Junior Player for 2005”. Siam is very grateful to his mother. In his words, “Without my Mum’s inspiration and support this would not be possible. I love you Ammuni”. |
